In many ways, this song marked the dawn of musics greatest and biggest decade, the 80s.

During the 60ies, there were some GREAT songs… Besides YES, Genesis and few more, the 70ies were mostly trash (T. Rex, Boney M., all this Disco – Stuff)… But then, the 80ies were about to start and everything changed, thanks to Trevor Horn and other Pioneers.

AWESOME track, by the way.

Love this song. Andrew Spencer has redone this classic on the Bounce 2 ( I T U N E S) album. It’s one for the dance floor.

@supu6 Hey, I loved cruising past the big pink and blue 80s looking strip club while blaring Video Killed The Radio Star as much as the next guy, but I did hear of it before then.

nirvanarocks15 February 9, 2010 at 2:11 am

@supu6 Quite sadly, it doesn’t.

This was the original video. Then, when the song hit, they made the more MTV friendly video with the old fashioned washing machines and men on trapeze that most of us remember.

myfajahas400children February 9, 2010 at 3:32 am

wait, there were 2 music videos?

G2Piee February 9, 2010 at 4:31 am

He was saying it “made” it famous, mostly.

Darkownage2 February 9, 2010 at 5:13 am

Dude, think logically.
